Every FaceUp3D project follows the same five steps, whether you're striking a coin, embossing a stamp, or wrapping a relief around a cylinder.
Start from a clear, well-lit image — the sharper the original, the more detail survives the conversion to relief.
Use Basic Filtering, Edge Detection, Color Correction, and Contrast Adjustment until the preview shows confident lines instead of noise.
Shape the result as a flat plane or stamp, a cylinder, a cube with reliefs on multiple faces, or a custom rotation profile — then tune size, thickness, and projection depth.
For the Bracelet, Stamp, and Custom Profile geometries, the Edit Profile tool lets you design your own cross-section rather than use one of the built-in shapes. For any geometry, Create Image Border lets you replace the default border with a smaller rectangle, an oval, or a border that follows the outline of a custom polygon.
With the Plane geometry, the model can be made double-sided, with a different image on each face, and the front side can be projected onto a cylindrical or elliptical surface instead of staying flat. With the Cube geometry, you can assign a different image to each face of the cube.
Download a print-ready file, sized and thick enough to hold its detail once it's off the printer.
